The project is recognized as a project of special state importance and aims to determine the optimal development areas of the Rail Baltica railway infrastructure maintenance depots project and to determine the areas necessary for the development of communication networks engineering infrastructure and create conditions for the sustainable development of this infrastructure.
In order to select the optimal alternative for construction solutions for Rail Baltica railway infrastructure maintenance depots and other related objects of communication networks engineering infrastructure (railways, buildings, structures, equipment, land roads, etc.), it is planned to perform a strategic environmental impact assessment using multi-criteria methods of analysis and cost-benefit analysis. Specific solutions will be analysed by carrying out environmental impact assessment.
