The project envisaged the reconstruction of the filters of old water treatment facilities built in 1980, second lift pumping station, underground water tanks, and technological building. The capacity of reconstructed equipment is 8000 m3 per day/500 m3 per hour. The project also envisaged the creation of a management process for the new automated water treatment facilities. The water treatment facilities serve about 13,900 houses (32,000 residents). After the reconstruction works, the residents of Jonava city and Jonava district (Ragožiai village) are supplied with de-ironed and ammonium- and manganese-free water, the quality of which meets all international drinking water quality requirements and approved hygiene norms.
